how do you know when your parts formed? i see a lot of people put exact dates and i cant pinpoint how 🥹🥹😭

i know a lot of people do this, and the answer is; i DONT know! you can never EXACTLY know when and why an alter forms specifically, i only estimate, or put the date i discovered this part. documentation for this is important to me for therapeutic purposes! there’s no need to do this and uncover everything without the help of a professional, you can end up finding out a lot of triggering things about yourself if you dont know them already which can cause you immense distress!! so documenting part formation date isnt always accurate or needed! only do so if you feel it’s necessary ^_^

yes.. unfortunately people think its LITERAL multiple personalities, delusions, etc etc. other times they believe doctors and or psychiatrists etc. are trying to brainwash people to excuse them for crimes ( there are cases of criminals having OSDDID, but not many. )
